Jayhawker™ - Wheelset to Bike Cross Reference

A carbon fiber wheelset is an awesome upgrade to your bike, you'll feel the difference immediately. By popular request, I've been building and updating the table below to provide a cross reference between some of the most popular gravel / all-road bikes and the fast-selling Jayhawker™ carbon fiber wheelsets.

If your bike isn't listed, shoot us a note at jefe@jefe.bike and we will update it to include your model and year. Oh, and keep in mind that if you are not the original owner of your bike, it may have been modified and upgraded from the original - often with a new fork. If you suspect your fork is not the original, shoot us a picture and we can help decode the cross reference with you.

Jayhawker™ The original non-boost Jayhawker™ wheelset ships with the current gravel standard configuration, 100x12 TA and 142x12 TA--however, it has mighty skills. With the included packet of end caps, the front wheel can be converted to 100x15 TA (a common MTB and suspension fork standard) and 100x9 Quick Release. The rear wheel can be converted to 135x10 Quick Release. Both QR settings are for bikes with disc brakes--there is no rim braking surface on the Jayhawker™. This opens the wheelset up to a panoply of bike configurations, as noted below.

Jayhawker™ Dynamo: This wheelset ships with a 100x12 TA Shutter Precision PL-7 dynamo hub in the front and with a Jefe 142x12 TA hub in the rear. It comes with an extra set of rear hub end caps to convert to 135x10 Quick Release and as such, is especially useful in some of the touring bikes with thru-axle front forks, like the Salsa Vaya.

Jayhawker™ BoostThe boost Jayhawker™ wheelset ships with the current MTB standard configuration, 110x15 TA and 148x12TA.  It does not share the awesome transformational skills of the non-boost version, mostly because it's built on a separate hub that is sized for the larger dimensions of the boost standard convention and as such, isn't backwardly compatible.

Jayhawker™ Dynamo Boost: This wheelset ships with a 110x15 TA Shutter Precision PD-8X dynamo hub in the front and with a Jefe 148x12 TA hub in the rear. As with the Jayhawker™ Boost wheelset, it does not come with conversion end caps because it is built on a wider hub that is not compatible with narrower standards.

Jayhawker™ Mullet: What??  The manufacturer mashed up a couple of "standards" and it's impossible to find a matched wheelset?  Shoot us a note at jefe@jefe.bike and we'll see what we can do to help you out.

All Jayhawker™ brand wheels come with two extra spokes per wheel. Why?  Because we expect you're going to have these for a while and it's nice to have an extra handy when you need one.

Lastly - if you have an "orphaned" fork standard, like 100x15, check out this article from The Radavist.  The article outlines a revolutionary technology that allows you to convert your uncommon 15x100 thru axle fork to a more common 12x100 standard, allowing you to buy common wheelsets--like ours! These parts are available on Amazon and eBay.
