We have had good luck with branded Loctite 242 but everyone seems to have their own preferences in the area of thread locking compounds. Make sure your compound is fresh--and hasn't gone through a number of freeze-thaw cycles in your garage over the past winter, and use gloves when applying. Since you're going all out on a bolt refresh here, a little prep work can go a long way.
