kLite "Lamp or USB" Wire Loom (Current / 30 Series) - SON or Shimano / SP

kLite "Lamp or USB" Wire Loom (Current / 30 Series) - SON or Shimano / SP. Known as the "touring loom", this wire loom is different from the loom that ships with the kLite kits. These come with a loom that is "USB Always On" logic within the handlebar switch--meaning that the switch simply turns the front lamp on and off and the lead that runs from the switch to the USB charger is "always on". This functionality is great for use with the kLite Qube and also for keeping your navigation electronics charging while you ride with the lamp on at night.

But there are a whole group of OG bikepackers who eschew the "always on" mentality and just really want the simplicity of a handlebar switch that toggles between "Lamp On" and "USB On". Well, for that OG constituency, we're keeping it real with the kLite touring loom. This product is a direct replacement for your "30" series "always on" loom and provides a simplified switch experience. When the switch is toggled to the "light on" setting, 100% of the dynamo's power will power the lamp, and when the switch is toggled to the "USB on" setting, 100% of the dynamo's power will power the USB charger.

Please note that this product will only power the kLite rear Qube safety lamp when the handlebar switch is toggled to the USB power setting. As such, the Qube won't be "on" when riding at night with the front lamp turned on.

Select the loom based on your type of dynamo hub - SON or Shimano / Shutter Precision.  Produced in Australia with a two year warranty.

Standard lengths:

• Switch to dynamo: 31 inches

• Switch to USB: 16 inches

• Switch to Lamp: 8 inches—note that the ULTRA lamp has a connection that is 12 inches long

Do not use dielectric terminal grease on the yellow end connectors of the kLite system - these are waterproof by design and the use of dielectric grease here will make the kLite friction-fit connectors vibrate loose on the trail.
